Mapleton has a mix of ages in the community I strongly believe we need a support system put in place. Senior community support services help older adults live safely and independently at home through meals, transportation, and personal care.
Do you know someone that cannot get around anymore and may need assistance? Perhaps it is you? Please get in touch.
Common Support Services that I believe we need in our community:
Meals and Nutrition: Programs like Meals on Wheels deliver hot or frozen food to homes.
Transportation: Rides are available for medical appointments, shopping, and errands.
Home Maintenance: Help with snow shoveling, yard work, and minor repairs.
Personal Care and Health: Adult day programs, foot care, and nursing assistance.
Social Connection: Telephone companion lines and group activities prevent isolation.
Were you aware these help lines were out there?
